This book seems to be more of a history lesson. It only list some places to eat or things to see or do and it's mostly super touristy things that my driver can tell me. I understand Bali is already a really touristy place, however, this book didn't make it any difference; it's feels as if I could of learned everything in the book during my stay there and I didn't need to get this book. I feel like the author of this book did not understand what this place is about and just threw in whatever he felt like.Product details

While I like the Lonely Planet Bali and Lombok book, this is the one that helps me feel as if I am there. There is sufficient narrative, but I like the little maps showing a small area so that you can actually see where a particular point of interest is. I had checked this book out of the library, renewed it two times and then gave in a bought it. I will take it with me to Bali and will refer to it frequently. I read almost the entire book, but am only 1/3 through the LP book.
